Lease and Release: Sheep Street, Stratford-upon-Avon

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 4th January 1760, between Edward Kitchen of Stratford-upon-Avon, millwright of the first part, John Mayo alias Fletcher of the same place, carrier of the second part and Dionysius Bradley, gentleman and John Pearshouse brasier, both of Stratford aforesaid of the third part, whereby Edward Kitchen conveyed to John Mayo alias Fletcher and his heirs, a messuage in Sheep Street, Stratford-upon-Avon with appurtenances in consideration of £9-10-0 paid to Edward Kitchen and of £18-10-0 paid to Dionysious Bradley by John Mayo alias Fletcher and Reciting ER3/2919 It was further witnessed that Dionysius Bradley in consideration of 10/- to him paid by John Pearshouse, assigned to John Pearshouse a term of 1000 years in the aforesaid premises in trust for John Mayo alias Fletcher. Signed: Edward Kitchen, Dionysius Bradley and John Pearshouse. Seals of red wax. Witnesses: Rose Chaplin and Robert Wheler. Lease from Edward Kitchen to John Mayo of the same premises for one year. Signed: Edward Kitchen and Witnessed as before. Note inside to the effect that William Mayo alias Fletcher was the only son of John Mayo alias Fletcher.
