Marriage Settlement: Oxhill

Description

Indenture of Settlement made upon the Marriage of James Prescott of Warwick, gentleman and Jane, one of the daughters of George Corbin of Hall End, esquire whereby the said James Prescott granted to Sir Edward Underhill of Nether Ettington, knight, Richard Shuckburgh of Over Shukburgh, esquire, the said George Corbin and Thomas Corbin of Hall End, esquire, a messuage with a close adjoining and two yard lands thereto pertaining in Oxhill alias Oxhulfe in the occupation of William Goodwyn and other two yard lands in Oxhill aforesaid then in the occupation of Anthony Bishopp, gentleman and other two yard lands in Oxhill aforesaid also in the occupation of Anthony Bishopp, to the use of the said Jane for life with remainder to the first and other sons of the Marriage successively in tail mode with remainders in default of male issue to the daughters of the Marriage in tail with an ultimate remainder to the Settler and his heirs for ever.
