Description

Counterpart of a lease from Thomas Perkins of Studley gentleman (brother and heir of John Perkins late of Hampton-in-Arden, clerk deceased) to Edward Harwood of Barton in the Parish of Bidford, gentleman and Francis Perkins of Evesham, watchmaker, of a messuage or farm in Studley in the possession of John Ankhorne with appurtenances and one half moiety of 3 closes and one meadow with the said messuage enjoyed and lying to the east of the said messuage also one half moiety of the great Close called Barber's Field, and of a meadow called Gibbhill and a small close called Ipsley End which two last mentioned parcels adjoined the said Barber's Field. All which premises were situate between the lane leading from Studley Street towards Ipsley Street and another lane called Washford, also one half moiety of a close of 2 acres called the Sling adjoining ground in the possession of Thomas Perkins called Flowrall End also of 2 closes adjoining a wood called Whitlench on the West and Green Lane on the North containing 24 acres, also of a close called Wedgbury's lying on the North of Flowralls End containing 3 acres, also of a small piece of meadow of about three quarters of a days swath lying in Broad Meadow, all which premises were in Studley and in the possession of the said John Ankhorne, for a term of one year at a rent of one peppercorn.
