Copy of Probate of Will: Thomas Knibb, Halford

Description

Two copies of the Probate of the will of Thomas Knibb of Halford, yeoman, with the following bequests: to his wife Hester his house, homestead and one quarter of land lying in Halford for a term of 99 years if she so long lived; to the assignee or assignees of the said Hester £10 to be paid out of the said premises within 12 months after her decease, the said premises, after her death, to pass to such person as the said Hester should appoint; to his sons Lester Knibbs and William Knibbs and to his daughter Anne wife of Thomas Pen of Bishampton, co. Worcs., £6 apiece charged upon the said premises; to his daughters, Hester Whatcott and Sarah Quarrell, one shilling apiece; to his grand-daughters Hester Whatcott and Sarah Quarrell, daughters of the above-mentioned Hester and Sarah, £6 apiece, such legacies to be paid out of the said premises within two years of the death of the testator's widow; to his son, Thomas Knibbs, all the residue of his real estate subject to the aforesaid legacies; and to his wife Hester, whom he appointed his sole executrix, the residue of his personal estate.
