Lease: Upper Quinton and Lower Quinton

Description

Lease by the President and Scholars of Magdalen College Oxford to Edward Walford of Quinton, gentleman of a messuage in Nether Quinton with the nether part of the Berry with two other messuages, and two Closes in Over Quinton called the Half Close and in Nether Quinton six Closes called Newbys Grounds, Long Close,, the two Horse Closes, and five closes called Doomsday Ass Meadows and the Great Berry, together with 37 acres, 2 roods and 19 perches lying between the towns which were allotted to Edward Walford, an enclosure of the Common Fields of Quinton for a term of 20 years then next ensuing paying annually £4-16-6 and three quarters and four bushells of good sweet and merchantable wheat and five quarters of good sweet malt delivered at the said College or else the price of purchasing the same in the market of the City of Oxford, and a heriot.
