Description

Lease by the President and Scholars of Magdalen College, Oxford to Edward Walford of Quinton, gentleman of their messuage in Nether Quinton with the Nether part of the Berry and two other messuages and two closes in Over Quinton, six Closes called Newby's Grounds, Long Close, the two Horse Closes, five Closes called Doomsdays, Ass Meadow and the Great Berry in two parts, 7 acres and a Close formerly in the tenure of Perrot Compton or Syms and a Close called Collin's Close together with 37 acres, 2 roods and 19 perches lying between the towns and which were alloted to Edward Walford on Inclosure of the Common Fields of Quinton also a cottage with a little parrock in Quinton with 6a-2r-30p lying between the towns and 0a-2r-20p in Berry Furlong which were alloted to Edward Walford aforesaid, for a term of 20 years then next ensuing at a yearly rent of £4-16-6 also three quarters and four Bushells of wheat and five quarters of malt or the value thereof and a Heriot etc. and for the cottage and paddock 10/8 and three Bushells of wheat and four Bushells and a half of malt.
