Copy of the Will of John Dryden of Chesterton in the County of Huntingdon, esquire appointing his sister Honora Dryden, his nephew Robert Pigot of Chatwin, Salop, esquire and his brother Erasmus Dryden his Executors. Mentions his older brother Sir Robert Dryden, baronet. Devising the Manor of Chesterton aforesaid to his brother Erasmus Dryden and the Manor of Radbourne in the County of Warwick and other hereditaments in St Ives, Papworth Agnes and Yelling and Toseland in the Counties of Huntingdon and Cambridge to the said Robert Pigot. Mentions also his nephew John Sneyd of Keele, Staffordshire, his cousins William Dryden of Preston, Northants, Edward Dryden of King Street, Westminster, Charles Dryden, John Dryden, son of his cousin Dryden theretofore of Fleet Street, draper. Directing also his Inn called the George in Northampton to be disposed of by his Executors with the advise of the Mayor and Aldermen of Northampton for the benefit of charity. Legacies to the towns of Huntingdon, St Ives, Godmanchester, St Neots, Ramsey, to his niece Lady Skrimsher, to her second son, to her daughter Sneyd, to his nephew Dryden Pigot, Elizabeth Dryden of King Street, Westminster, Anne, daughter of nephew Pigot and others. Witnesses: A. Tournour, Eras: Driden and John Broughton. Proved the 18th February 1708 at London by Honora Driden and Eras Driden.
