Marriage Settlement prenuptial: Radbourne

Description

Settlement by Indentures of Lease and Release made previous to the marriage of Samuel Cleaver of Leamington Hastings, grazier with Ann Cattle of Warwick, spinster (one of the daughters of Thomas Cattle of Warwick wheelwright) the Release dated the 4th November 1774 by Samuel Cleaver to Richard Rymill of Banbury, currier, John Rymill the younger of the same place, baker and John Cooper of Leamington Hastings, grazier, of the North East side of Chappel Ground then staked out and intended to be divided from the rest of Chappel Ground and containing 40 acres, 0 roods and 38 perches, also Long Meadow (8a-0r-27p), the Pingle (1a-2r-15p) and the tithes thereon upon the Trusts of the Marriage Settlement in consideration of £500 paid to him the said Samuel Cleaver by Thomas Cattle as a marriage portion. Signed: Thomas Cattle otherwise Cattall, and Ann Cattle otherwise Cattall. Seals of red wax. Witnesses: Matthew Payne and Richard Gough. Lease dated the 3rd November 1774 by Samuel Cleaver to Richard Rymill, John Rymill and John Cooper of the same premises for one year. Signed: Samuel Cleaver. Sealed and witnessed as before.
