Description

An Indenture Quadripartite between Finetta Finett, one of the daughters of Sir John Finett late of the Parish of St. Martin's in the Fields, Middlesex, knight deceased of the first part, Francis Keyte of Hidcott, Glos., esquire of the second part, Thomas Savage of Broadway, Worcs., gentleman of the third part and Walter Savage of Broadway, esquire of the fourth part. Recites that the said Francis Keyte and Chambers Slaughter of Over Slaughter, Glos., gentleman by Indenture dated 25th November 1679 [ER3/3318] granted to the said Finetta Finett a pasture ground called the ground above the old sheep house, a meadow called the meadow below the old sheep house, 2 pastures called the Sidelongs, a meadow called the Moores and the hopyard contained therein, a close called the Church Close, Lower Meadow below the old sheep house, pasture ground called the new Sheep House Pasture, inclosed ground or grounds called the ground above the Moores, 3 meadows called Ledburys, a messuage and other buildings upon the said inclosed ground called the Pooles all which are in Broadway, all tenths and tithes of corn, grain and hay and all other tenths etc. arising out of closes etc. to have and to hold to said Finetta Finett from the day before the date of the said Indenture for 1000 years at a peppercorn rent if demanded in which Indenture it was provided that if the said Francis Keyte should pay to the said Finetta Finett at the then dwelling house of Ambrose Holbach, gentleman situate in Mollington, Warks. The sum of £21 upon the 27th May following and the sum of £721 upon the 27th November 1680 that then the said Indenture aforesaid became void. Recites that the said sum of £721 was not paid at the place and house aforesaid whereby the said Indenture of Lease and terms and estate thereby granted became absolute and whereas the said principal sum of £700 still remains due to the said Finetta Finett this Indenture witnesses that the said Finetta Finett for the sum of £550 paid before the susealing of these presents by the said Thomas Savage in part of payment of the said principal sum of said £700 and in consideration of the sum of 5/- paid the said Walter Savage unto the said Finetta Finett by and with the consent and special instance and direction of the said Francis Keyte hath bargained and sold to the said Walter Savage at and by the nomination and appointment of the said Thomas Savage and in trust to attend the inheritance thereof the which is amongst other things purchased by the said Thomas Savage of the said Francis Keyte the Close called the Church Close, 3 meadows called the Pooles, a meadow called Sugars Meadow, a meadow called Ledburys, a messuage and buildings upon the Pooles and all tithes etc. to have and to hold to the said Walter Savage for rest and residue of the 1000 years yet to come to the intent that the said Lease for 1000 years may attend upon the inheritance of the premises purchased by the said Thomas Savage of the said Finetta Finett.
