Assignment of Lease: Middle Hill Estate, Broadway

Description

Assignment of a term of 500 years in trust for Mr. William Taylor and to attend the inheritance, between Elizabeth Skipp of Donnington, Herefordshire, widow of Richard Skipp of Donnington deceased who survived Richard Freeman late of Batsford, Glos., esquire his co-trustee of the first part, Ann Savage and Sarah Savage of Gloucester, spinsters, daughters of Walter Savage heretofore of Worcester but late of Broadway, Worcs., esquire deceased and Sarah, his wife of the second part, William Taylor of the Inner Temple gentleman of the third part, and Elizabeth Taylor, of South Littleton, spinster of the fourth part. Reciting that by Indentures dated 6th and 7th January 1688 between Walter Savage the elder then of Broadway, esquire of the first part, the aforesaid Walter Savage, his son and heir, and Sarah, his wife of the second part, and Richard Skipp and Richard Freeman of the third part, it is witnessed that the said Walter Savage the elder in consideration of a marriage had between the said Walter Savage the younger and Sarah his wife and of £1850 part of the marriage portion of the said Sarah, did grant to the said Richard Skipp and Richard Freeman all those Mills etc. to hold upon trust to the uses specified viz. for the benefit of Sarah his wife for life and after to hold for the term of 500 years for the benefit of younger children, and reciting that the said Walter Savage the younger died leaving issue, the said Walter Savage the younger and two daughters the said Anne and Sarah, his Will being dated 14th August 1712 and reciting that the said William Taylor had agreed for the absolute purchase of all and singular the premises - the present Indenture witnesses that the said Elizabeth Skipp, Ann Savage and Sarah Savage do convey all the messuages, mills etc. unto the said Elizabeth Taylor from and immediately after the decease of Sarah Savage the elder for the remainder of the term of 500 years, in trust for the benefit of the said William Taylor.
