Indenture between Sir Thomas Crawley Boevey of Flaxley Abbey, Glos., baronet, and Dame Anne, his wife, Edward Jones of Thingley House, Parish of Corsham, Wilts., esquire and Elizabeth, his wife, John Mills of the City of Gloucester, esquire and Margaret, his wife, Thomas Roberts of the Town and County of Haverfordwest in the Principality of Wales, esquire and Eleanor, his wife, and Thomas Stokes of the same place, esquire and Susan, his wife (which said Dame Anne Crawley Boevey, Elizabeth Jones and Margaret Mills are the only surviving children of the Reverend Thomas Savage, clerk and Eleanor, his wife both long since dead, and are the only surviving sisters of George Savage late of Middlehill, Worcs., esquire, lately deceased who was the only surviving son of the said Thomas Savage and Eleanor, his wife and which said Eleanor Roberts and Susan Stokes are the only surviving children of Eleanor Wogan deceased, another of the daughters of the said Thomas Savage and Eleanor, his wife, and which said Dame Anne Crawley Boevey, Elizabeth Jones and Margaret Mills with the said Eleanor Roberts and Susan Stokes are co-heirs at law of the said Thomas Savage and Eleanor, his wife and also of the said George Savage,) of the first part, and Spencer Newcombe Meredith of Grays Inn, Middlesex, gentleman of the second part, John Ready of the City of Chester, esquire of the third part, Richard Foley of the Town and County of Haverfordwest, esquire and Samuel Whitcombe of Hampstead Court, Glos., esquire of the fourth part : conveying the Mansion house and its appurtenances called Middlehill, 200 acres freehold closes, arable land, meadow, pasture and wood therewith held, a freehold messuage and 227 acres of lands etc. called the Kite's Nest Farm, a freehold messuage and 148 acres of land called the Court Farm, a freehold messuage and lands and a small quantity of leasehold land enjoyed therewith which together contain 93 acres called the Home Farm, a freehold messuage and mill called the Upper Mill and 5 1/2 acres of land therewith, another freehold messuage and mill called the Lower Mill and 6 3/4 acres of land therewith, a piece of arable land in Broadway lying at a place called Broadway hill containing 5 acres, all tythes 'the advowson, patronage free disposition and right of patronage and presentation of aid to the Vicarage of the Parish Church of Broadway aforesaid with its rights members and appurtenances' part of which premises hereunto before bargained and sold were comprised in the settlement made previously to the marriage of the said Thomas Savage and Eleanor his wife the father and mother of said George Savage by Indentures of Lease and Release dated respectively 20th and 21st December 1737, and all of which premises were late the estate of the said George Savage and upon his death on 28th November last intestate and without having been ever married, descended upon or came to the said Dame Anne Crawley Beovey, Elizabeth Jones, Margaret Mills, Eleanor Roberts and Susan Stokes in their respective capacities to have and to hold to said Spencer Newcombe Meredith to the end that one or more Common Recovery or Recoveries may be suffered and the recoverer or recoverers in the said recovery or recoveries named and his and their heirs shall stand seized of the said capital and other messuages for the several uses hereafter mentioned to the use of the said Richard Foley and Samuel Whitcombe upon Trust that they shall with all convenient speed sell and dispose of the said estates and then place put at interest the monies in Government real or other securities - in four parts for the benefit of Sir Thomas Crawley Beovey and Dame Anne his wife and the other parties named. Phillpotts Junior, William Griffith of Gloucester, attorney at law, Chs. King of Kingsholm near Gloucester, John Willy of Haverfordwest and Charles James, clerk to Messrs.
