Lease of land: Alcester

Description

Grant by Robert Cope of Alincestre [Alcester] to Robert de Bidiford for his services of all that messuage with curtilage formerly held by the grantor's daughter Cristiana together with a certain piece of land which lay without the curtilage which messuage lay next the messuage of the grantor in Abbey Street. To hold the same of the grantor and his heirs and assigns in fee simple paying annually 12 pence: at the Feast of St. Michael 6 pence, and at the Feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary 6 pence for all services suits demands etc. And for that grant the said Robert had given to the grantor 10 shillings sterling. Witnesses: Radulf Colet, Thomas Tarbert, William de Stoks [Maxstoke], Thomas Bun, Walter Crudoe, Nicholas Catel, Stephen de Sur, Rie de Ragel, William Brun and others. Seal missing.
