Description

Conveyance by Sir Thomas Stephens of Little Sodbury, Glos., knight and Dame Katherine, his wife (one of the daughters and co-heirs of William Combe theretofore of Old Stratford deceased), Thomas Stephens, esquire (son and heir apparent of the said Sir Thomas Stephens and Dame Katherine), John Rouse of Tachbrooke Mallory, esquire and Mary his wife (another of the daughters and co-heirs of the said William Combe deceased) and Sir Combe Wagstaffe of Tachbrooke Mallory aforesaid, knight, son and heir of the said Mary Rouse, to Thomas Rawlins of Stratford-upon-Avon, esquire and Samuel Rawlins of Long Marston, gentleman of the premises described in ER3/4113 except two yard lands in the occupation of the said John Rouse in Stratford-upon-Avon, Old Stratford, Welcombe and Bishopton, to the intent that they should become tenants in an action for Recovery to be suffered in the Court, which Recovery should enure to the use of William Combe of Hasely, esquire (one of the Executors of Thomas Combe theretofore of Stratford-upon-Avon esquire deceased) and the heirs male of his body and in default of such issue to John Combe, his brother and the heirs of his body and in default of such issue to Francis Boughton of Causton, gentleman and his heirs for ever. Signed by the parties. Two seals of red wax, the rest being lost. Endorsed a memorandum referring to ER3/4113. Witnesses: Ja. Prescot, Edward Somerville, W. Booth, T. Rottier and Richard Drayton.
