Counterpart of Assignment of Mortgage: Welcombe

Description

Counterpart of an Assignment by Francis Evans of Black Hills in the Parish of Bishops Hampton [Hampton Lucy], yeoman (with the consent of John Combe of Alscott, esquire) to Joseph Smith, ironmonger and Thomas Nason, barber chirurgeon, both of Stratford-upon-Avon, of a Mortgage created the 18th May 4 James II by the demise, by the said John Combe to the said Francis Evans, of a term of 99 years in a capital messuage called Welcombe House and five closes belonging thereto called Aishen Closes, Walnott Tree Close, Cunny-gree and Barne Close, also three yard lands in Welcombe also belonging to the said messuage, all which premises were then in the occupation of James Southam of Welcombe, for the sum of £300.
