Description

Lease by Thomas Hopkins of Buttolph Lane near Billingsgate London, merchant to Richard Spittles of Wilnecote, yeoman, of a messuage with appurtenances in Dosthill theretofore in the occupation of Thomas Pegg, also another cottage with appurtenances in Dosthill aforesaid then in the occupation of Thomas Heath together with two little pingles or closes, also one beast gate in the ground called Stenhill, excepting all coal mines and coal depths in the said lands, and the right to dig etc. for coal to the said Thomas Hopkins and the Trustees of Atherstone Free School for a term of 21 years from the 25th March then last past.
