Snitterfield deeds: Phillips of Welcombe

Description

Copy Counterpart Indenture between Stephen Hales of Snitterfield, esquire and Bartholomew Hales of the same place, gentleman of one part, and William Colmore of Warwick, esquire of the other part. Reciting a Mortgage of 22nd March 1654 by which William Colmore mortgaged to Stephen Hales, Hollow Meadow in the occupation of Robert and John Meades, William Sumner and Michael Goodrich (see DR38/27) by security of 1000 years for payment of £550 and that Stephen Hales had assigned to Bartholomew Hales the residue of the term of 1000 years. It was witnessed that in consideration of £550 paid by William Colmore to Stephen Hales, the said Stephen and Bartholomew Hales assigned the said Mortgage term to William Colmore. Witnessed by Mathew Holbecke, Thomas Wise and John Goodenough. Attested 1st January 1668 by John Dean and Robert Melram.
