Snitterfield deeds: Phillips of Welcombe

Description

Deed Poll under the hand and seal of James Prescot of Warwick, esquire. Reciting that Lord Coventry was seised of two parts in four of the Rectory Impropriate of Snitterfield of which the chancel of the Parish Church was a part, and that the said Mr. Prescot was seised of one other 4th part. It was witnessed that in consideration of Lord Coventry having agreed to discharge all charges for repairs arising from the said 4th part of the chancel belonging to Mr. Prescot, he the said James Prescot conveyed to Lord Coventry and his heirs for ever all his 4th part of the said Chancel and all his right, title etc. and demand in the same (the tithes and other dues belonging to the said 4th part of the said Impropriate Rectory always excepted). Signed: Ja. Prescot. Seal of red wax was pressed between paper, no impression. Witnesses: George Harris, Edw. Cookes and Thomas Priest.
