Custodial History

A.M.A. Woods (born 1922), a graduate of Reading University, came to the Stratford-upon-Avon area in 1943 as District Technical Officer to the War Agricultural Executive Committee, and in 1946 became Agricultural Crop Husbandry Advisor for the West Midlands Province of the National Agricultural Advisory Service. From 1949 until 1956 he managed the Stratford Office of the NAAS, remaining District Advisor, after its closure, until his retirement in 1982. He was farming correspondent for the 'Stratford-upon-Avon Herald' from the 1970s
