Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 10th May 1816 between the Right Honourable George, Earl of Coventry, the Right Honourable Peggy, Countess of Coventry his wife of the 1st part, Thomas Henry Graham of Edmund Castle, Cumberland, esquire, eldest son and heir at law of Thomas Graham (late of Lincoln's Inn esquire, deceased) of the 2nd part, Elizabeth Susannah Graham of Clapham Common, Surrey, widow of Thomas Graham, deceased, Sir James Graham of Portland Place, Middlesex baronet, the said Thomas Henry Graham, John Graham of Lincoln's Inn aforesaid esquire (younger son of the said Thomas Graham deceased), Charles Thomson late of Russell Square, Middlesex but now of Portland Place, esquire, George Kinderley William Domville both of Lincoln's Inn, gentlemen of the 3rd part, William Bentham of Gower Street, Middlesex, esquire of the 4th part, the Reverend Ed. Embrey of Covent Garden, Middlesex, clerk and the said Sir James Graham of the 5th part, Robert Philips of the Park, Prestwich, Lancashire, esquire of the 6th part and George William Wood of Manchester of the 7th part whereby the Right Honourable George, Earl of Coventry conveyed the Manors of Snitterfield and Bearley together with an estate (including tithes etc.) more particularly described (with map) therein to Robert Philips aforesaid for £70,000. Signed: Coventry, Peggy Coventry, E. S. Graham, Thomas Henry Graham, James Graham, John Graham, Charles Thomson, George Kinderley, William Domville, William Bentham and Edw. Embrey. Seals: Lord Coventry's seal and 11 others, mostly obliterated. Witnesses: Edward Alderson of 6, Lincoln's Inn, Meaburn Tatham of 39, Lincoln's Inn Fields and William Davis clerk to Master Thomson. Map. Lease dated 9th May 1816 by the Right Honourable George, Earl of Coventry and others to Robert Philips of the property described in the above mentioned deed of Release for one year.
