Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 29th May 1830 between Edward Jarman of Albany, Piccadilly, Middlesex, esquire of the 1st part, Robert Philips of the Park, Prestwich, Lancashire, esquire of the 2nd part and George William Wood of Singleton in the Parish of Prestwich, Lancashire, esquire of the 3rd part whereby Edward Jarman in consideration of £30,000 to him paid by Robert Philips re-conveyed the Mortgage in the property referred to in DR38/163 DR38/164 to Robert Philips and his heirs to such uses upon such trusts etc. as the said Robert Philips by deed inter vivos or Will might appoint to the use of Robert Philips for life. To the use of George Wood during the life of Robert Philips upon determination of his life interest to the use of Robert Philips and his heirs for ever. Signed: Edward Jarman. Seal a dog sejant crowned. Witnesses: Edw. Oates Furnivals Inn, E. A. Rogerman clerk to Mr. J.H. Markland, Temple. Lease for one year from Edward Jarman to Robert Philips of the same property. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before.
