Snitterfield deeds: Phillips of Welcombe
Description
Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 20th June 1821 between the Right Honourable George William, Earl of Coventry, of Croome D'Abitot, Worcestershire and Richard Smith of Snitterfield, gentleman whereby a cottage garden and orchard containing 2 roods and 2 perches at Snitterfield, and a pasture field adjoining called Dadley's Field containing 1a-1r-20p all in the occupation of Richard Smith and his undertenants were conveyed by the Earl of Coventry to Richard Smith for £315. Covenant by the said Earl to produce Title Deeds set out in a Schedule thereto. Signed: Coventry. Seal, Coventry crest. Witnesses: B. Morland and Robert Matton, servant to the Earl of Coventry. Lease dated 19th June 1811 by the Earl of Coventry to Richard Smith of the same property for one year. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before.
