Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 19th July 1805 between John Marshall of Snitterfield, cordwainer of the 1st part, Richard Smith of Snitterfield, gentleman of the 2nd part and Thomas Hunt of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman of the 3rd part whereby the property described in DR38/217 then late in the occupation of John Marshall, which cottage was formerly two cottages was conveyed by John Marshall to Richard Smith for £220 (subject to Land Tax), Thomas Hunt being a feofee to uses. Signed: John Marshall, Richard Smith and Thomas Hunt. Seal, letters H H. Witnesses: Elizabeth Smith, Robert Hunt, solicitor, Stratford-upon-Avon and Charles Taplin, clerk to Messrs. Hunt Hobbes. Lease dated 18th July 1805 between John Marshall and Richard Smith of one part and Thomas Hunt of the other part, of the same property for one year. Signed: John Marshall and Richard Smith.
