Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 31st January 1821 between Martin Stafford Smith, Rector of Fladbury, Worcestershire, clerk of the 1st part, William Oldaker of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman of the 2nd part, Charles Oldaker of Fladbury, gentleman of the 3rd part, Richard Smith of Snitterfield, gentleman of the 4th part, Michael Corbett of Admington, Gloucestershire, esquire (Trustee of Richard Smith to uses) of the 5th part and William Oakes Hunt of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman (another Trustee of Richard Smith to uses) of the 6th part whereby 61 acres, 1 rood and 9 perches of woodlands, more particularly described therein, in the following parcels :- Hither Plain (12a-2r-37p), a small wood adjoining (1a-2r-32p), Pheasant Oak Plain (15a-1r-2p), a coppice (3a-3r-17p), Cocks head (11a-0r-10p), a coppice adjoining (3a-2r-34p) and Great Rough Wood (12a-3r-37p) having been conveyed by Robert Harvey Mallory to John Bradford for 2000 years (as Mortgagee of John Checketts) with remainder to John Checketts in Fee Simple and by divers mesne assurances and Acts of Law the Fee Simple became vested in William Oldaker and the term of 2000 years in Charles Oldaker in trust for Martin Stafford Smith. It was witnessed that William Oldaker in consideration of £300 conveyed the Fee Simple to Richard Smith subject to an apportioned payment of £3-4-2 for Land Tax, 10s 3 1/2d for a chief rent (being an apportioned sum of £2-11-4) and also to £1-12-10 (being an apportioned sum of £9-9-0) in respect of tithe rent charge and Charles Oldaker and Martin Stafford Smith assigned to William Oakes Hunt the term of 2000 years in consideration of £2000 upon trust for Richard Smith to attend upon the inheritance. Witnesses: Edmund Wells Oldaker, Pershore, John Lane and William Byne of Lyme Regis, Dorset, esquire. Lease dated 30th January 1821 by Messrs.
