Snitterfield deeds: Phillips of Welcombe

Description

Indenture dated 9th November 1864 between Thomas Heath of Warwick, gentleman of the 1st part, Henry Smith of Snitterfield, esquire of the 2nd part and Richard Smith late of Snitterfield and then of Leamington Priors, esquire of the 3rd part. Reciting (inter alia) an Indenture dated 1st May 1850 whereby Henry Smith mortgaged, with other property, his life interest in the property referred to in DR38/221 to Thomas Heath for £6000. It was thereby witnessed that Thomas Heath and Henry Smith, in consideration of £2500 paid to Thomas Heath by Richard Smith, conveyed to the said Richard Smith the mortgaged life estate of Henry Smith free of encumbrances.
