Description
Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 2nd November 1728 between Thomas Cookes of Billesley, gentleman and Sarah his wife of one part and Thomas West of Snitterfield, butcher of the other part whereby a messuage in Snitterfield in the occupation of Michael Clarke, and another in the occupation of Anne Green, widow with malthouse and appurtenances together with a small close held therewith containing 3 roods, also a messuage in the occupations of Henry Tomes, carpenter and John Lock, weaver respectively together with an undivided moiety or half part of a messuage then in the occupation of Thomas Moore, shoemaker were conveyed by Thomas Sarah Cookes of Billesley to Thomas West for £300. Signed: Thomas Cookes and Sarah Cookes. Seal, a man's head. Witnesses: Thos. Woolmer and Tho. Walford. Lease dated 1st November 1728 by Thomas Sarah Cookes to Thomas West of the same property for one year. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before.
