Description

Gift with warranty from Robert de Fulwode to Richard de Budiford and John de Bustleham of all the land which the grantor held by gift and feoffment of John Wodard in Toneworth' lying in certain fields called Marfield and Lone extending in length from Erlswode towards the highway leading from the tenement of Henry de Sydenhale at the church of Toneworth'; to hold from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. Dated at Toneworth' Tuesday before the feast of St Margaret the Virgin, 20 Edward III. Witnesses: John de Lodbrok', John Wodard, Richard atte Berne, Roger Belne, John Dolphyn and others. Circular seal of red wax on tag, 3/4 in, ?peacock, Legend indecipherable. Endorsed: [16th cent] Carta Ricardo de Budiford' et Johannis Bustleham facta per Robertum de Fulwode de de [sic] omnibus terries et tementis que prefatum Robertum perquisivit de Johanne Wodard.
