Description

Demise for the life of Alice the wife of the grantor with warranty from Richard son of Simon de Middelmo to Richard Reed of Toneworth' of all lands and tenements in Toneworth' which passed to the said Alice from the free tenement which formerly belonged to Richard son of John Doucesone and which the said Alice held as dower by the gift of the said Richard her former husband; also half of one field in Solihull' called le Newlond' next to the land of John le White as defined by its boundaries; to hold the same during the life of the said Alice rendering annually one flowering rose on the feast of St John the Baptist and making due and customary service to the chief lords of the fee. Sealing clause. Dated at Solyhull', Sunday after the feast of St Lawrence, 27 Edward III. Tag for seal. Latin, parchment, 10 x 5.25 ins. Indented. The fold for the seal tag contains the opening of another charter between the said parties.
