Counterpart of gift with warranty from John de Follewode of Toneworth' to Mathew de ? Caures and Margaret his wife of a messuage with adjacent curtilage and two crofts lying in Toneworth' between the land of John Jurdan, the land of the said John Follewode' and the land of Henry ? Sellen and the highway leading from Norton' towards Henleye, which property William Jurdan lately held from the said John Follewode; to hold the same rendering annually 3 shillings and 2 pence rent [ 2 terms] suit of court of the said John and heriot upon the death of any one of them; if the said Mathew and Margaret die without lawful issue the said property to revert to the grantor. Dated at Toneworth', Easter Sunday, 42 Edward III. Witnesses: Thomas Larcher, Henry Sidenhale, Thomas atte Berne, Thomas Notehurst, Richard Colynes and other. A circular seal of natural wax, 3/4 in, a bird, on a broad tag slit to take two seals. Latin, parchment, 13.5 x 4.75 ins. Indented.
