Description

Lease for the life of the lessee with warranty from Thomas Archer of Toneworth' to Henry Symond' of Vulenhale of the field called Clercuslond' in Toneworth as defined by its hedges and ditches; to hold for his life rendering to the said Thomas for 8 years after the feast of the Purification of the Blessed Mary next after this charter 6 shillings and 8 pence [2 terms] and if the said lease to be continued after the said 8 years rendering annually £10 [ 2 terms]; the said Thomas to have right of re-entry if the said rent was wholly or partly in arrears beyond one month after any of the said terms; the said Henry not to cut down any wood except to make hedges nor to have any fishing rights in the said field. Dated at Toneworth', Sunday before the feast of the Conversion of St Paul, 45 Edward III.
