Description

Gift from Richard Bromley and Roger tangley, clerks, to Thomas Archer and Agnes his wife of the manor of Toneworthe and all lands, tenements, rents, reversions, services, meadows, woods, pastures, moors, commons, and liberties in Toneworthe which the grantors held by the gift and feoffment of the said Thomas; to hold the said property for the term of their lives from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service, with the remainder to Thomas, son of the said Thomas and Agnes, with his lawful issue, or in default of such issue to Richard, brother of the said Thomas, and his lawful issue, or in default of such issue to the heirs and assigns of the said Richard for ever. Dated at Toneworthe, Sunday before the fest of St Thomas the Apostle, 9 Richard II. Circular seal of red wax on tag, 1/2 in., the letter R.
