Agreement made 18th February 1857 between Mark Philips esquire of Snitterfield of one part and David Hemming gentleman of Snitterfield of the other part whereby a portion of a field containing 1 rood and 2 perches (whereon subsequently two cottages were erected) bounded on the North and East by the Vicar's Glebe, on the West by the road from Snitterfield to Wolverton and on the South by other land of David Hemming was agreed to be purchased by David Hemming from Mark Philips for £70.
