Tanworth

Description

Gift with warranty from John son of John le Archer of Toneworth' to John de Bartone and Rose his wife of a messuage and croft in Toneworth' at Cotbarwe which he had by the feoffment of William de Folewode; also a field which he had by the feoffment of Roger le Rede in the same vill, with a certain grove and moor; to hold of the said John le Archer for their lives, rendering to him as chief lord due and customary service, with reversion on their decease to the grantor and his heirs. Witnesses: Henry de Sydenhale, Richard Gerin, Richard Wystan, John atte Berne, Walter de Notehurste, Thomas Aleyn and others. Dated at Toneworth', Monady after the feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Mary, 14 Edward II. Two tags, seal lost. Endorsed: Tonworth Latin, parchment, 9 x 4 ins., indented.
