Gift with warranty from John Harding' of Toneworth' to Richard son of John atte Berne of the same and Margery his wife of a parcel of land in Toneworth' extending in length from the land, leading from the house of the said John Harding' towards the church of Toneworth', and from the garden of the said John Harding' as far as the land leading from the house of the said John atte Berne towards the said church, and lying in width between the land of the said John atte Berne and the garden of the said John Harding' on one side and the highway leading from the house of Roger Hynkoc towards Henleiam on the other; to hold the same of the chief lord of the fee rendering annually 6 pence (2 terms); and the said John Harding' is to keep the hedge next the headland on the east side and enclose the said land. Witnesses: Simon le Archer, Richard Geryn, Richard Wystan, John atte Berne, Walter Tapping' and others. Dated at Toneworth', Sunday in the feast of St Valentine, 15 Edward II.
