Description

Attested Copy of Settlement made previous to the Marriage of George Wakefield of Minworth Greaves, Sutton Coldfield, gentleman dated 10th August 1813 between the said George Wakefield of the 1st part, Richard Chattock of Solihull, gentleman of the 2nd part, Ann Mary Chattock of Solihull, spinster (daughter of Richard Chattock) of the 3rd part, Thomas Chyattock of Solihull, gentleman and John Wakefield of Kings Norton, gentleman of the 4th part and the said Thomas Chattock and Charles Allcock of Solihull, gentleman of the 5th part whereby Richard Chattock covenanted to pay to the Trustees of the Settlement £1000 Stock and £2000 to be paid within two years after his death, and Anne Mary Chattock covenanted to give to the Trustees certain Canal Shares and other monies and her share in the estate of her father Richard Chattock and George Wakefield conveyed to the Settlement Trustees an estate known as the Greaves, Sutton Coldfield more particularly described therein (including field names and acreages) upon the Trusts of the Settlement. Signed: George Wakefield, Richard Chattock, Anne Mary Chattock, Thomas Chattock and Charles Allcock. Witnesses: John Powell junior and Richard Smith. Copy attested by Charles Meredith and Thomas Anderton, clerks to Mr. Chattock Solihull solicitor. Copy appointment by George Wakefield and Ann Mary his wife of Mr. George Wakefield his nephew as a trustee in the within Settlement instead of John Wakefield who died 2nd January 1818.
