Description

Copy Probate dated 21st April 1789 of the Will of Thomas Webb of Sherbourne esquire whereby the Testator after directing the payment of debts etc. bequeathed to his five children Mary, John, Margaret, Thomas and Sarah £1500 each charged upon all his real and personal property. He devised the house in which he dwelt at Sherbourne to Margaret his wife for life and thereafter to Elias his son in fee simple. All the residue of his real and personal estate he bequeathed and devised to Margaret his wife, Sarah Mayo his sister and John Bree his kinsman in trust for sale and conversion to pay debts legacies etc. and thereafter for the clothing and education etc. of his eldest son Elias Webb during his minority and to his absolute use and benefit after that event.
