Attested copy Indenture dated 3oth March 1747 between John Higgins of Tiddington in the Parish of Alveston gentleman, Hannah his wife (sole Executrix of the Will of Edward Townsend theretofore of Alveston and late of Mickleton gentleman deceased) of the 1st part, Thomas Webb of Sherbourne esquire (son and heir of Elias Webb late of Sherbourne gentleman deceased) of the 2nd part and Mary Eyres of Warwick widow of the 3rd part whereby Thomas Webb in consideration of £500 mortgaged the property described in DR38/361 to Mary Eyres. Security being given by John and Hannah Higgins assigning, at the direction of Thomas Webb and in consideration of 5/- paid by Mary Eyres, to Mary Eyres the residue of the outstanding term of 1000 years. Signed John Higgins, Hannah Higgins and Thomas Webb. Sealed. Witnessed by Ann Jordan, Thomas Townsend and Charles Savage. Attested 2nd March 1821 by J. A. Dancer and Edward Dancer stationers of Furnival's Inn.
