Snitterfield, Sherbourne, Fulbrooke, Claverdon and Wolston

Attested copy Indenture of Release dated 10th July 1809 between the Reverend Elias Webb of Sherbourne clerk of the 1st part, Christian Wilcox of Brandon in the Parish of Wolston spinster of the 2nd part and Thomas Wilcox of Claverdon gentleman and Matthew Walford Wilcox of Brandon aforesaid gentleman of the 3rd part whereby Elias Webb conveyed to the persons of the 3rd part certain property in Sherbourne, Fulbrooke, Claverdon and Wolston together with the estate in the Parish of Snitterfield containing about 108 acres (see DR 38/356 DR 38/361) known by the name of Briery Farm more particularly described therein. As to the property at Wolston to the use of them, Thomas Wilcox and Matthew Walford Wilcox for a term of 1000 years to the use of Elias Webb and his heirs upon trust to raise £5000 for the portions of all children of Elias Webb, except for the eldest son, to attain 21 years and as to the residue of the said property to Elias Webb for life and thereafter. As to the Manor, principal mansion and other hereditaments at Sherbourne to Christian Wilcox for life in lieu of dower etc. and after the decease of the survivor of them to the use of Elias Webb and his heirs and as to the residue after the death of Elias Webb to the use that Christian Wilcox should receive a rent charge thereout of £400 per annum secured by a term of 100 years. Attested 23rd January 1821 by R. Skinner and Henry Allen clerks to Messrs. Greenw3ay solicitors Warwick. N. B. Ann Watkins presumably died childless.
