Description

Gift from Thomas Mon', clerk, William Kempe of Couentre and John Power of Couentre, girdeler, to William Benford' of Toneworth' all lands, tenements, rents, reversions and services which the grantors, together with John Benford' of Hambury [ Hanbury, Co Worcs] now deceased, held by gift and feoffment of the said William Benford'in the lordship of Toneworth' in the county of Warr'; to hold for the term of his life from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service and after the death of the said William to pass to John, son of the said William, and Elizabeth, daughter of John Hawe of Yerdeley and their lawful issue, or in default of such issue to the rightful heirs of the said William Benford' for ever. Dated at Toneworth', 10 September 24 Henry VI.
