Description

Lease for the life of lessor from Agnes, lately wife of Thomas Colyns, to Henry Brome' and Emote his wife, of all the lands and tenements, meadows, pastures, feedings, rents, reversions and services in the parish of Toneworth' which lately belonged to the said Thomas Colyns and which the said Agnes held by the gift and feoffment of Thomas Parker, Richard Butler, Henry Skynner and John Grove; to hold for the life of the said Agnes for the annual rent of 24 shillings at Lady Day and Michaelmas [2 terms]; the said William and Emote to pay all dues upon the said land during the said term; the said Agnes to have the right of distraint for non-payment or arrears of the said rent 15 days after the said terms, or of re-entry after a quarter of a year. Dated Monday after the feast of St Lawrence, 11 Edward IV. Circular seal of red wax on tag, 3/4 in., the seal surrounded by a ruch plait. Latin, parchment, 13.25 x 6 ins., indented.
