Description

These negatives from the firm of Walker Photographic Ltd. of Greenhill Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, are stored in four sequences according to size: A) full-plate or double-plate, B) half-plate, C) quarter-plate D) smaller film negatives. The appropriate letter is given at the end of the description for each item. The original negative numbers to the Walker Postcard series, where appropriate, have been given at the end of the description for each item. The register for this survives at DR770. Other negatives in this series are at Warwick County Record Office and the Shipston Local History Society. Most of the half-plate postcard series date from the 1930s; other half-plates and the smaller negatives in series C and D date mainly from the 1950s.
