Description

Indenture between Darwin Galton of Edstone Hall esquire of one part and Christopher Musgrove of Leamington Priors esquire of the other part whereby Darwin Galton in consideration of £50 conveyed to Christopher Musgrove a piece of land more particularly set out in a plan attached thereto containing 3 roods and 34 perches situate in an open field called the Redding in Claverdon which was bounded on the West by land belonging to Claverdon Church and on all other sides by land belonging to the Honourable Ann Elizabeth Musgrove widow. Signed Darwin Galton and Christopher Musgrove. Red wax seal with letter H thereon. Witnessed by William Oakes Hunt solicitor, Stratford-upon-Avon. Attached a letter from Thomas Holyoak of Little Alne stating that the tithe upon the land was 1/4 per annum to the Vicar and 3/8 per annum to the Rector.
