Description

Indenture made between John Yeate of Stratford-upon-Avon innholder of the 1st part, Richard Canning of Norton Lindsey yeoman and Susanna his wife (sister and heir of William Blick late of Norton Lindsey yeoman deceased) of the 2nd part and Samuel Cox of Wolverton yeoman of the 3rd part. Reciting DR 38/794, DR 38/795, DR 38/796, DR 38/797 DR 38/798 and that there was then owing to John Yeate £200 and that Samuel Cox had agreed to advance to Richard Canning £130, it was thereby witnessed that John Yeate by the appointment and direction of Richard Canning and Susanna his wife in consideration of £200 to him paid by Samuel Cox and in consideration of £130 advanced by Samuel Cox to the said Richard and Susanna Canning, assigned the Mortgage described in DR 38/796 to Samuel Cox (who then became Mortgagee of Richard Canning for £330). Signed John Yeate, Richard Canning and by the mark of Susanna Canning. Red wax seal. Witnessed by John Sanders, Mary Yeate, Thomas Watson and Aaron Cox. Lease for one year John Yeate to Samuel Cox of the same property. Signed and sealed as before. Witnessed by Thomas Watson and Aaron Cox. Bond dated 6th December 1755 by Richard Canning to Samuel Cox for £330. Signed Richard Canning. Witnessed by Aaron Cox and Thomas Watson.
