Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 29th September 1825 between John Greensall of Birmingham draper of the first part, John Boulton of Studley draper of the 2nd part, Richard Boulton of Alvechurch draper of the 3rd part, John Reading of Studley needlemaker of the 4th part, James Palmer of Yarningale in the Parish of Claverdon yeoman of the 5th part and John Newbey of Yarningale in the Parish of Claverdon farmer of the 6th part. Reciting Indentures of Lease and Release of 3rd 4th April 1818 between Thomas Corbett of Southam gentleman of the 1st part, William Walford gentleman of the 2nd part, the aforesaid John Boulton of the 3rd part and the aforesaid Richard Boulton of the 4th part whereby hereditaments therein described were conveyed to the use of John Boulton and Reciting an Indenture dated 4th April 1816 between James Wood Administrator of Francis Smart so far a certain term of 1000 years therein mentioned, of the 1st part, the aforesaid William Walford of the 2nd part, the aforesaid John Boulton of the 3rd part and the aforesaid of the 4th part whereby the residue of a term of 1000 years affecting the said hereditaments was assigned to John Reading in trust for John Boulton and Reciting Indentures of Lease and Release dated 23rd 24th June 1818 between the aforesaid John Boulton of the 1st part, the aforesaid Richard Boulton of the 2d part and the aforesaid John Greensall of the 3rd part, the said premises and hereditaments were conveyed to John Greensall subject to a proviso for redemption upon payment of £1200 by John Boulton, it was thereby witnessed that in consideration of £31 to John Boulton paid by James Palmer and of 10/- paid by James Palmer to both Richard Boulton and John Greensall, they the said John Richard Boulton and John Greensall conveyed to James Palmer one lot or dole in a Common Ground called The Reading or Redding in Claverdon containing 3 roods and 11 perches formerly in the occupation of John Cox free from all mortgages etc. and it was further witnessed that in consideration of 10/- paid to John Reading by John Newbey and at the direction of John Boulton and John Greensall, he the said John Reading assigned the term of 1000 years (recited above) to John Newbey in trust to attend upon the inheritance of James Palmer. Covenant by John Boulton and John Greensall to produce certain Deeds set out in a Schedule thereto covering a period 1668 to 1818. Signed John Greensall, John Boulton, Richard Boulton, John Reading and James Palmer. Witnessed by John Palmer, Arthur Ryland (clerk to Messrs. Palmer Son solicitors, Birmingham) and William Welcher. Lease dated 28th September 1825 by John Richard Boulton and John Greensall of the same premises for one year. Signed John Greensall, John Boulton and Richard Boulton. Sealed and witnessed as before.
