Description

Indenture between Thomas Barrett of Norton Lindsey labourer and James Pacey of the same place shoemaker of one part and Robert Needham Philips of Welcombe esquire M. P. of the other part reciting the Will of Thomas Pacey (see DR 38/900) and the death of the said Thomas Pacey on 27th February 1852 and that Thomas Barrett and James Pacey were devises of 2 cottages, it was witnessed that they the said Thomas Barrett and James Pacey in consideration of £45 to them paid by Robert Needham Philips conveyed one cottage, formerly in the occupation of Thomas Newman but then of John Jakeman, to the said Robert Needham Philips and his heirs for ever. Signed by the mark of Thomas Barrett, by James Pacey and Robert Needham Philips. Red wax seal with letter H thereon. Witnessed by Richard Child Heath, solicitor, Warwick and John Calloway, agent, Snitterfield.
