Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 26th February 1743 between Richard Mills of Bermondsey Street, Southwark, Surrey fellmonger Elizabeth his wife, Sarah Best of St. Olave's in the Borough of Southwark, Surrey widow, and Mary Woodal of St. John's, Southwark, Surrey widow (which said Elizabeth Mills, Sarah Best and Mary Woodal were the sisters and co-heiresses of Thomas Stanton late of Wolverton deceased) of one part and Thomas Walford of Wolverton gentleman of the other part whereby in consideration of £140 paid to Richard Mills, Sarah Best and Mary Woodal by Thomas Walford, they the said Richard Mills Elizabeth his wife, Sarah Best and Mary Woodal conveyed the premises described in DR 38/924 then in the occupations of John Lea and John Stanley to Thomas Walford and his heirs for ever. Signed Richard Mills, Elizabeth Mills, Sarah Best and by the mark of Mary Woodal. Red wax seal. Witnessed by John Dakeyne and Robert Lewis, his clerk. Lease dated 25th February 1743 for one year by Richard Mills Elizabeth his wife, Sarah Best and Mary Woodal of the same property. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before.
