Indenture of Assignment between William Parkes of Warwick gentleman (the surviving acting Executor of the Will of John Parkes late of Warwick gentleman deceased) of the 1st part, John William Crompton of Birmingham gentleman (son and devisee of the Will of Samuel Crompton, see DR 38/968, late of Clapham, Surrey esquire deceased, who was the eldest son and heir at law of John Crompton theretofore of Gainsborough, Lincolnshire merchant deceased) of the 2nd part, John Whitehead of Barford gentleman of the 3rd part and Thomas Woods Weston of Warwick gentleman of the 4th part reciting DR 38/926, DR 38/936, DR 38/937, DR 38/938, DR 38/940, DR 38/941, DR 38/945 DR 38/950 and reciting that John Parkes had died leaving a Will dated 3rd August 1782 and appointed James Kettle and Joseph Webster (both since deceased) and William Parkes his Executors and reciting the Will of Samuel Crompton (see DR 38/968) and reciting DR 38/969, and that it had been agreed that the three several terms of 500 years in the hereditaments described in DR 38/926, and assigned to John Patrkes by DR 38/950 should be assigned by William Parkes to Thomas Woods Weston, it was witnessed that in pursuance of the said agreement and in consideration of 5/- paid by Thomas Woods Weston to William Parkes at the direction of John William Crompton and John Whitehead, he the said William Parkes assigned the 3 terms of 500 years in the premises aforesaid to Thomas Woods Weston, his Executors and assigns upon trust to attend the inheritance of John Whitehead.
