Attested Copies of Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 20th July 1754 between Charles Wheler of Warwick esquire of the 1st part, Stephen Nason of Wolverton clerk and Ann his wife of the 2nd part and John Crompton of Gainsborough, Lincolnshire esquire of the 3rd part reciting DR 38/989, it was witnessed that in consideration of £1224 paid to Charles Wheler by John Crompton and in consideration of a further sum of £571 paid to Stephen Nason by John Crompton (making a purchase price of £1795), they the said Stephen Nason and Charles Wheler conveyed to John Crompton the premises described in DR 38/980 (except the cottage conveyed to Robert Gibbs by DR 38/982). Witnessed by Joseph Cater and J. Beardsley. Attested 18th April 1801 by Thomas Heydon and Abram King. Attested Copy Lease dated 19th July 1754 for one year of the same property by Charles Wheler, Stephen Nason and Ann Nason to John Crompton. Witnessed as before.
