Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated 23rd December 1800 between John William Crompton of Warwick gentleman (son and devisee of the premises hereinafter described by the Will of Samuel Crompton late of Clapham, Surrey esquire deceased who was the eldest son and heir at law and also devisee in fee of the same premises named in the Will of John Crompton late of Gainsborough, Lincolnshire merchant deceased) of one part and Edward Mann of Snitterfield gentleman of the other part whereby a cottage with blacksmith's shop with appurtenances containing 19 perches, also two meadows adjoining the said blacksmith's shop containing together 2 acres, 1 rood and 1 perch then late in the several occupations of John Creed and Joseph Moores and then in the occupation of Samuel Cole, also another cottage and appurtenances the site containing 1 rood and 36 perches late in the occupation of Robert Gibbs and William Knight, then of Richard Gibbs all which hereditaments were conveyed to John Crompton by DR 38/991 was conveyed by John William Crompton to Edward Mann in consideration of £248-17-0. Lease dated 22nd December 1800 for one year of the same property by John William Crompton to Edward Mann. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before.
