Description

Attested Copy Indenture between Thomas Stanton of Wolverton gentleman (son and heir of Thomas Stanton gentleman deceased) of the 1st part, Elizabeth Stanton of Stratford-upon-Avon (widow and Executrix of the last Will of John Stanton late of Stratford-upon-Avon gentleman deceased) of the 2nd part and George Harris of Grafton Flyford, Worcestershire clerk reciting that Thomas Stanton had demised by a Lease dated 4th May 2 James II a term of 500 years in a messuage with barns, stables, orchard, yards, home close and one yard land of arable pasture, furze and hath thereto belonging and occupied therewith theretofore in the occupation of Thomas Townsend and then of Joseph Townsend to Thomas Aylworth then of Wellesbourne Mountford subject to a proviso for redemption upon payment of £210 and further reciting that default being made the said became vested in Thomas Aylworth who by a Memorandum dated 4th May 3 Jac II endorsed when the above recited Indenture assigned the said mortgage term to John Stanton in consideration of £200 which said mortgage term became vested in Elizabeth Stanton Executrix of the said John Stanton, it was thereby witnessed that Elizabeth Stanton in consideration of £200 to her paid by George Harris (by the direction of Thomas Stanton) and in further consideration of £120 paid to Thomas Stanton by the said George Harris the said mortgage term in the aforesaid premises subject to the proviso for redemption upon payment of £336.
