Description

Gift with warranty from Isabella de Archer widow daughter of William le Archer of Thaneworthe, to Simon le Archer son of John le Archer of the same, in the presence of the said John the chief [lord], of messuages, lands, tenements, rents and reversions called Pirihul in Thaneworthe with all appurtenances; also the lands described in no. 114 with the addition of two selions extending through the middle marlpit (per mediam marleram) as far as the meadow of William Brun in length and lying in width between the land of John de la Berne and the land of Richard le Palmer'; to hold the same to the said Simon, his heirs aand assigns, except a religious house, as is set out in the grantor's original charter of feoffment made by John le Archer, the chief lord, rendering annually a root of ginger at Christmas; and for this the said Simon gives 40 shillings. Witnesses: John le Archer, John Wodart, Richard de Folewode, Thomas du Lee, Peter de Wal, Roger Gerin, Roger Pavi and many others. Tag and seal lost.
